Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, travel issues, refunds, and changes to reservations are all possible.

1. Refunds, Cancellations, and Travel Issues.

If you cancel a an accommodation or experience reservation as a Guest, the amount you are repaid is determined by the cancellation policy that applies to that reservation. However, in other cases, other policies take precedence and determine how much money you get back. If you have to cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond your control, you may be entitled for rebooking help or a partial or full refund under our refund Policy. The same applies if the Host or experience organizer cancels. Different policies apply to different types of Listings and different circumstances

1.1 Changes to Reservations

Guests and Hosts agree to pay any additional amounts, fees, associated with any Booking. Modifications they agree to make via the Rentic Platform or ask Rentic customer service to make on their behalf are valid.

2. Policy For Guests

Your Responsibilities and Risk Acceptance

As a Guest, you are responsible for your own actions and omissions, as well as the actions and omissions of anybody you invite to join or grant access to any Host Service, such as an Accommodation or Experience. This means, for example, that (i) you must leave an Accommodation (and related personal property) in the same condition as when you arrived, and (ii) you must always act with integrity, treat others with respect, and follow all applicable laws.

If you are booking for a minor as an additional guest or bringing a minor to a Host or Experience Service, you must be legally allowed to act on the minor’s behalf and you are solely responsible for the minor’s supervision.

3. Policy for Hosts

3.1: Your Responsibilities and Risk Acceptance

As a host, under our existing Policy or applicable law, you must not cancel on a Guest without a solid reason. We may levy a cancellation fee and other consequences if you cancel on a Guest without a good cause.

If a Guest has a Travel Issue,  and is unable to follow through with the reservation, the reservation will be considered cancelled and you may be entitled to half a days payment depending on when the guest notified of the cancellation.

If a Guest obtains a refund after you’ve been paid, or if the amount of the refund plus any costs incurred by Rentic exceeds your payout, Rentic may seek reimbursement from you, including by deducting the refund against future payouts.

In  circumstances where you allow for the cancellation of a reservation and/or the issuing of refunds to Guest, you acknowledge the cancellation policy you relied upon (that is, the reason for the cancellation). If we anticipate to offer a refund to a Guest under one of these policies, we may withhold any payment for that reservation until we make a refund decision.

3.2: Taxes on the guests.

As a host, you must determine and comply with your legal duties to report, collect, remit, or include in your pricing any relevant VAT or other indirect taxes, occupancy taxes, tourism, income, or other taxes (“Taxes”).
