Terms and Conditions for Hosts and Hosts.
- Our Objectives.
Our goal is to make the world a place where you can live without boundaries. Browse millions of Listings to find the ones that fit your trip style, from cabins to castles to cooking classes. Review the description and photographs, the Host profile, and previous Renter reviews to learn more about a Listing. If you have any questions, please contact the Host via message.
- Using Rentic for searching and booking.
2.1 Searching.
You can look for Host Services based on the type of service, the trip location, the dates of travel, and the number of visitors. Filters can also be used to narrow down your search results. The relevancy of the search results and other criteria are used to rank them. Price, availability, reviews, customer service and cancellation history, popularity, prior travels and saved Listings, Host criteria (e.g. minimum or maximum nights), and more are all taken into account when determining relevance. In our Help Center, you can learn more about search results.
2.2 Reservation.
When you book a Listing, you agree to pay all expenses associated with the booking, including the Listing price, relevant fees such as Rentic’s service fee, offline fees, taxes, and any other things mentioned during checkout (collectively, “Total Price”). You further agree that Rentic may charge the Payment Method (as specified in the Payment Terms) used to book the Listing to recover Damage Claim (as defined in these Terms) amounts via Rentic Payments. A contract for Host Services (a “Reservation”) is formed immediately between you and the Host when you receive the booking confirmation. In addition to these Terms, you will be bound by all terms of the Reservation, including, without limitation, the cancellation policy and any other rules, standards, policies, or requirements identified in the Listing or during checkout that apply to the Reservation, and you will be responsible for adhering to them. Prior to booking a Listing, you must read and understand these rules, standards, regulations, and criteria. Be advised that some Hosts deliver their Host Services in collaboration with a co-host or as part of a team.
2.3 Reservations for lodging
A limited license to enter, occupy, and use the Accommodation is granted by an Accommodation Reservation. During your stay, the Host retains the right to re-enter the Accommodation if: I it is reasonably necessary, (ii) it is permitted by your contract with the Host, and (iii) it is consistent with applicable legislation. If you stay over checkout time, the Host has the right to evict you in accordance with applicable legislation, including levying reasonable overstay fines. You may not have more than the maximum number of renters permitted.
2.4 Experiences and Other Host Services Reservations
You can participate in, attend, or use a Host Service if you book an Experience or another Host Service Reservation. You are responsible for ensuring that you and anybody you invite meet the minimal standards for age, proficiency, fitness, and other factors. Any medical or physical issues, as well as any other factors that may affect your ability to participate, attend, or use the Host Service, must be disclosed to the Host. You may not allow someone to join a Host Service unless they are added as an additional renter during the booking process, unless you have directly allowed it.
- Cancellations, travel problems, refunds, and changes to reservations.
3.1 Refunds, Cancellations, and Travel Issues
In general, the amount refunded to you when you cancel a reservation is determined by the cancellation policy that applies to that reservation. However, in other cases, other policies take precedence and determine how much money you get back. If you have to cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond your control, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund under our Extenuating Circumstances Policy. If the Host cancels your reservation or you have a Travel Issue (as specified in our Renter Refund Policy), you may be eligible for rebooking help or a partial or full refund. Different policies apply to different types of Listings; for example, the Experiences Renter Refund Policy governs Experiences reservations. Details on what is covered and what refund applies in each instance can be found in each Additional Legal Term or Policy. You may appeal a Rentic decision by contacting our customer service department.
3.2 Changes to Reservations
Hosts and Renters agree to pay any additional amounts, fees, or taxes associated with any Booking Modifications they agree to make via the Rentic Platform or request Rentic customer service to do on their behalf (“Booking Modifications”).
- Your Roles and Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your own actions and omissions, as well as those of anybody you ask to join or provide access to any Accommodation or Experience. For example, this means that I you must leave an Accommodation (and related personal property) in the same condition as when you arrived, (ii) you must pay all Damage Claim amounts necessary to cover damage to an Accommodation caused by you, your renter(s), or your pet(s), and (iii) you must always act with integrity, treat others with respect, and follow all applicable laws. If you are booking for a minor as an additional renter or bringing a minor to a Host Service, you must be legally allowed to act on the minor’s behalf and you are solely responsible for the minor’s supervision.
Terms of Service for Renters
- Being on Rentic as a Host.
5.1 Host is a word that has a lot of different meanings. Rentic provides you with the ability to use the Rentic Platform to share your Accommodation, Experience, or other Host Service with our thriving community of Renters while also earning money. It’s simple to establish a Listing, and you have complete control over how you host each one. You may determine the price, availability, and rules for each one.
5.2. Contracting with Renters
You are responsible for supplying the Host Service within the conditions and at the price mentioned in your Listing when you accept a booking request or get a booking confirmation through the Rentic Platform. You also agree to pay any applicable costs for each booking, such as Rentic’s service fee (plus applicable taxes). Unless we and you agree otherwise, Rentic Payments will deduct sums you owing from your payout. Any supplement contract terms or conditions you provide with Renters must I be compatible with these Terms, our Additional Legal Terms, Policies, and the information provided in your Listing, and (ii) be prominently disclosed in your Listing description.
5.3 Hosts’ Independence
Except for Rentic Payments, which serves as a payment collection agent as defined in the Payments Terms, your relationship with Rentic is that of an independent individual or business, not an employee, agent, joint venturer, or partner of Rentic. Rentic does not command or manage your Host Service, and you acknowledge that you have total choice over whether and when you supply Host Services, as well as the price and terms at which you give them.
- Taking Care of Your Listing
6.1 Putting Your Listing Together and Managing
It The Rentic Platform gives you the tools you need to create and manage a Listing. Your Listing must include complete and accurate information about your Host Service, your price, and any other fees that apply to your Renters or Listing, such as cleaning fees, resort fees, and offline fees. You are solely responsible for your actions and omissions, as well as for keeping your Listing information (such as calendar availability) and content (such as images) current and accurate at all times. We recommend that you acquire suitable insurance for your Host Services and that you read the policy terms and conditions carefully, especially the coverage specifics and exclusions. You may only have one Listing per Accommodation, however if your home has numerous rooms, you may have multiple Listings. Any offer of an Experience is subject to our Experience Hosts’ Additional Terms.
6.2 Be aware of your legal responsibilities.
Any laws, rules, regulations, or contracts with third parties that apply to your Listing or Host Services are your responsibility to understand and follow. Consider the following scenario: Subletting, short-term rentals, and/or longer-term stays are restricted or prohibited by some landlords and leases, as well as homeowner and condominium association restrictions. Short-term rentals of residential premises are prohibited in several cities due to zoning or other rules. Before offering specific Host Services, several jurisdictions require Hosts to register, receive a permit, or obtain a license (such as short-term rentals, longer-term stays, preparing food, serving alcohol for sale, guiding tours or operating a vehicle). In other cases, the Host Services you seek to provide are outright disallowed. Renters who stay at your accommodation must be registered in some countries.
Some jurisdictions have laws that give Renters tenancy rights and place additional responsibilities on Hosts. Longer stays, for example, may be subject to landlord-tenant, rent control, and eviction rules. Check your local rules to see whether there are any that apply to the Host Services you intend to provide. The legal requirements information we provide is for informational reasons only, and you should independently confirm your duties. You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws and these Terms, including our Host Privacy Standards, while processing and utilizing personal data of Renters and others. Always get legal guidance if you have doubts about how local laws apply.
6.3 in the search engine results.
The ranking of Listings in the Rentic Platform’s search results is determined by a number of factors, including the following:
- Renter search parameters (e.g. number of Renters, time and duration of the trip, price range),
- Listing characteristics (e.g. price, calendar availability, number and quality of images, Reviews, type of Host Service, host status, age of the Listing, average Renter popularity), and
- Renter booking experience (e.g. customer service and cancellation policies) (e.g. previous trips, saved Listings, location from where the Renter is searching).
The search results on our mobile application may differ from those on our website. Rentic may charge an additional fee to allow Hosts to promote their Listings in search or elsewhere on the Rentic Platform.
Our Help Center has further information on the elements that influence how your Listing shows in search results, as well as our current promotional programs (if any) and how we recognize promoted Content.
6.4 Your Roles and Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own actions and omissions, as well as the actions and omissions of anyone you hire to help you provide Host Services. You are in charge of determining your price as well as the regulations and requirements for your Listing. You must include all fees and charges in your Listing description, and you may not collect any additional fees or charges outside of the Rentic Platform unless our Offline Fee Policy expressly authorizes it. In order to avoid violating our Off-Platform Policy, do not encourage Renters to create third-party accounts, post reviews, share their contact information, or perform other actions outside of the Rentic Platform.
Terms and Conditions
- Evaluations.
Renters and Hosts will have the ability to rate each other after each Host Service. Your Review must be factual and free of any discriminatory, offensive, defamatory, or other language that violates our Content or Review Policies. Rentic does not verify the accuracy of reviews, thus they could be inaccurate or misleading.
- Content.
You can offer comments, text, photographs, audio, video, information, and other content (“Content”) through various parts of the Rentic Platform. By providing Content in any form and through any means, you grant Rentic a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable license to access, use, store, copy, modify, prepare derivative works of, distribute, publish, transmit, stream, broadcast, and otherwise exploit in any manner such Content to provide and/or promote the Rentic Platform, in any media or platform, known or unknown, for the term of the protection of the rights so licensed. If any of the Content contains personal information, it will be used for these purposes only if it conforms with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. Where Rentic pays for or enables the creation of Content, Rentic may own the Content, which will be stated in extra terms or disclosures. You are solely responsible for all Content you provide, and you represent and warrant that you own it or have the authority to grant Rentic the rights set forth in these Terms. If any of your Content violates or infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of a third party, you are responsible and liable. Our Content Policy and Nondiscrimination Policy both prohibit discriminatory, obscene, harassing, deceptive, violent, and illegal content, among other things. You agree that Rentic may make services or automated tools accessible for translating Content, and that such services or tools may be used to translate your Content. Rentic does not guarantee the correctness or quality of translations, and Members are responsible for double-checking their accuracy.
- Fees
Rentic has the right to charge Hosts and Renters fees (including relevant taxes) for the use of the Rentic Platform. Any costs that may apply are communicated to Hosts before they publish a listing and to Renters before they book. On our Service Fees page, you can learn more about when service fees apply and how they’re calculated. Service costs are non-refundable unless otherwise stated on the Rentic Platform.
- Rentic Platform Rules.
10.1 Norms
These regulations must be followed, and you must not assist or convince anyone to break or evade them.
- Be honest and respectful to others; do not lie, misrepresent someone or something, or claim to be someone else.
- When communicating or interacting with others, be courteous and respectful.
- Adhere to our Nondiscrimination Policy and refrain from discriminating or harassing others.
- Scraping, hacking, reverse engineering, compromising, or impairing the Rentic Platform is prohibited.
- Do not access or gather data or other content from or otherwise interact with the Rentic Platform using bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated means.
- Do not attempt to circumvent any security or technological mechanism used to secure the Rentic Platform or Content by hacking, avoiding, removing, impairing, or otherwise.
- Do not decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the Rentic Platform’s software or hardware.
- Do not take any action that could jeopardize or impair the Rentic Platform’s performance or functionality.
- You may only use the Rentic Platform in accordance with these Terms or any other agreement you have with us.
- You may only use another Member’s personal information if it is required to complete a transaction on the Rentic Platform, as permitted by these Terms.
- Do not send commercial messages using the Rentic Platform, our messaging tools, or Members’ personal information without their express authorization.
- You may only utilize Content made available through the Rentic Platform in order to use the Rentic Platform as a Renter or Host.
- Do not use Content unless the Content owner has given you permission or we have authorized it in these Terms or another agreement you have with us.
- Do not seek, make, or accept a booking or any payment outside of the Rentic Platform in order to avoid paying fees, taxes, or other charges. Exceptions can be found in our Offline Fee Policy.
- Unless approved by Rentic, do not force or encourage Renters to create an account, leave a review, or otherwise interact with a third-party website, application, or service before, during, or after a reservation.
- Do not engage in any practices that aim to deceive our search algorithm.
- Do not book Host Services unless you intend to actually use them.
- Without our permission, you may not use, copy, display, mirror, or frame the Rentic Platform, any Content, any Rentic trademark, or any page layout or design.
- Keep your legal obligations in mind.
- Be aware of and abide by the laws that apply to you, such as privacy, data protection, and export regulations.
- If you give us someone else’s personal information, you must I do so in accordance with applicable law, (ii) be allowed to do so, and (iii) give us permission to use that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Read our Terms, Additional Legal Terms, Policies, and Standards and follow them.
- Do not plan or assist in the organization of unauthorized parties or gatherings. You are responsible and liable for any party or event that occurs during your reservation and violates our party and event rules, which are incorporated herein by reference.
- Do not use Rentic’s or others’ names, logos, branding, or trademarks without permission.
- Do not use or register any domain name, social media handle, trade name, trademark, branding, logo, or other source identification that is similar to Rentic branding.
- Do not provide Host Services that are in violation of applicable laws or agreements.
- Do not engage in or aid human trafficking by offering or soliciting prostitutes.
10.2 Violation Reporting
Before contacting Rentic, you should contact local authorities if you believe a Member, Listing, or Content poses an immediate risk of harm to a person or property. Furthermore, you should contact Rentic if you believe that a Member, Listing, or Content has violated our Standards. Rentic may obtain a copy of a report you filed with local authorities if you reported an issue to them. We are not obligated to take action in response to any report unless it is required by law.
10.3 Notifications of Copyright Violations
If you believe that content on the Rentic Platform infringes on your copyrights, please let us know using the contact information below.
- Suspension, Termination, and Other Measures
11.1. Terms
These Terms constitute the agreement between you and Rentic, and it will remain in effect until either you or we terminate it in line with these Terms.
11.2 Termination.
This agreement can be terminated at any moment by writing us an email or deleting your account. Rentic has the right to terminate this agreement at any time by sending you a 30-day notice by email or any other contact information you have supplied for your account. Rentic may also terminate this agreement without notice and stop providing access to the Rentic Platform if I you materially breach these Terms, our Additional Legal Terms, or Policies, (ii) you violate applicable laws, (iii) such action is necessary to protect the personal safety or property of Rentic, its Members, or third parties (for example, in the case of fraudulent behavior by a Member), or (iv) your account has been inactive for more than t days.
11.3. Violations by Members.
If I you violate these Terms, our Additional Legal Terms, Policies, or our Standards, (ii) you violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, (iii) you have repeatedly received poor Reviews or Rentic otherwise becomes aware of or receives complaints about your performance or conduct, (vi) you have repeatedly cancelled confirmed bookings or failed to respond to booking requests without a valid reason, or (vii) such action is necessary to protect the personal information of others,
Unless such notification would I prevent or impede the detection or prevention of fraud or other illegal activities, (ii) harm the legitimate interests of other Members or third parties, or (iii) contravene applicable laws, you will be given notice of any intended measure by Rentic and an opportunity to resolve the issue, unless such notification would (i) prevent or impede the detection or prevention of fraud or other illegal activities, (ii) harm the legitimate interests of other Members or third parties.
11.4 Legal Obligations
Rentic may take whatever action it deems reasonable to comply with relevant legislation or a court’s, law enforcement’s, or other administrative agency’s or governmental body’s order or request, including the steps outlined in Section 13.3.
11.5 Consequences of Termination If you deactivate your Rentic account as a Host, any confirmed bookings will be instantly cancelled, and your Renters will be refunded in full. Any confirmed booking(s) will be automatically cancelled if you cancel your account as a Renter, and any reimbursement will be subject to the conditions of the Listing’s cancellation policy. You are not entitled to a reinstatement of your account or any of your Content once this agreement has been cancelled. You may not register a new account or access or use the Rentic Platform through the account of another Member if your access to or use of the Rentic Platform has been restricted, your Rentic account has been suspended, or this agreement has been canceled by us.
11.6 Make an appeal.
You may challenge Rentic’s decision to take any of the procedures specified in this Section 13 by contacting our customer care.
- Modifications to these Terms are permitted.
When we propose modifications to these Terms, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms and post the amended Terms on the Rentic Platform. We will send you an email with notice of the proposed changes at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. You will be requested to explicitly accept the updated Terms if the proposed changes to these Terms are material. This notification will also advise you of your right to reject the proposed changes, the deadline for doing so, and your right to terminate the Agreement at any time prior to the proposed changes being effective, as set forth in these Terms. If there are I non-material changes to these Terms that do not affect their essential provisions, such as provisions defining the nature and scope of Rentic’s services, or (ii) changes required by law, a legally binding court decision, or a binding order of a competent authority, your continued use of the Rentic Platform after the proposed changes take effect will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Dealing with Customer Complaints and Damage Claims
If a Member provides valid evidence that you, your renter(s), or your pet(s) culpably damaged the complaining Member’s real or personal property, or real or personal property for which the complaining Member is responsible, including consequential damages, the complaining Member can notify Rentic and/or seek compensation through the Resolution Center (“Damage Claim”). The Damage Claim will be communicated to you and you will have the option to react. If you agree to pay, or if the Damage Claim is escalated to Rentic, and Rentic determines that the Damage Claim is valid and you are responsible for the Damage Claim after considering any applicable statutory rules on the burden of proof, Rentic can collect the amount of the Damage Claim from you through Rentic Payments.
In connection with Damage Claims, Member complaints, claims under insurance policies, or other claims relating to your provision or use of Host Services, you agree to cooperate in good faith, give any information Rentic demands, execute papers, and take additional reasonable action. You may appeal a Rentic decision by contacting our customer service department. Rentic’s judgments in connection to a Damage are final. Your contractual and statutory rights with the customer are unaffected by the claim. Your ability to file a lawsuit in a court of law is unaffected.
- Rentic’s Function
We grant you access to a platform that allows Members to advertise, offer, search for, and book Host Services. When Members make or accept a reservation, they are directly entering into a contract with one another. Rentic is not a party to, and will not become a party to, any contractual relationship between Members. Except where Rentic Payments works as a collection agency as stipulated in the Payments Terms, Rentic is not acting as an agent for any Member. While we strive to ensure that our Members have a positive Rentic experience, we cannot and do not control the behavior or performance of Renters or Hosts, and we cannot and do not guarantee I the existence, quality, safety, suitability, or legality of any Listings or Host Services, or (ii) the truth or accuracy of any Listing descriptions, Reviews, or other Content provided by Members. You acknowledge that Rentic has no general obligation to monitor the use of the Rentic Platform or to verify information provided by our Members, but that Rentic reserves the right to review, disable access to, remove, or edit Content in order to: I operate, secure, and improve the Rentic Platform (including for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and customer support purposes); (ii) ensure Members’ compliance with these Terms; and (iii) comply with applicable law or the order or requirement. Unless such notification would I prevent or impede the detection or prevention of fraud or other illegal activities, (ii) harm the legitimate interests of other Members or third parties, or (iii) violate applicable laws, we will notify a Member and provide the reasons for such a measure. You have the right to appeal a decision by contacting our customer service department. Members agree to cooperate and assist Rentic in a good faith manner, and to supply Rentic with such information and take such measures as Rentic may reasonably request in connection with any inquiry into the use or abuse of the Rentic Platform.
- Accounts of Members
To access and use many features of the Rentic Platform, you must first create an account. Only legal entities, partnerships, and natural persons aged 16 and up are allowed to register. You represent and warrant that under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, your place of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction, you are not a person or entity forbidden from using the Rentic Platform. During registration, you must give accurate, current, and complete information, and you must maintain your account information up to date. You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person. You are solely responsible for the security and confidentiality of your account credentials, and you may not share them with anyone else. If you feel your credentials have been lost, stolen, or your account has been hacked in any way, you must immediately tell Rentic. Unless such activities are not allowed by you and you are not otherwise negligent, you are responsible and liable for activity undertaken through your Rentic Account (such as failing to report the unauthorized use or loss of your credentials). We may, but are not obligated to, I request identification or other information from you, (ii) conduct checks to verify your identity or background, (iii) screen you against third-party databases or other sources and request reports from service providers, and (iv) obtain reports from public records of criminal convictions or sex offender registrations or their local equivalents.
- A word of caution.
We do not endorse or warrant any Renter, Host, Host Service, Listing, or third party’s existence, conduct, performance, safety, quality, legality, or suitability, and we do not warrant that verification, identity, or background checks conducted on Members (if any) will identify past misconduct or prevent future misconduct. Any references to a Member being “verified” (or similar terminology) only mean that the Member or Rentic has successfully completed a necessary verification or identification process. We are not responsible for Internet and telecommunications infrastructure outages or disturbances that are beyond our control and may cause the Rentic Platform to be unavailable. Rentic may, in the event of capacity limits, the security or integrity of our servers, or to carry out maintenance measures that ensure the proper or improved functioning of the Rentic Platform, temporarily and in consideration of the Members’ legitimate interests (e.g. by providing prior notice), restrict the availability of the Rentic Platform or certain features thereof.
- Liability
Rentic is accountable under statutory provisions if we, our legal representatives, directors, or other vicarious agents, act with malice or gross negligence. The same is true in the instance of a culpable injury to life, limb, or health, or in the case of any other strict liability. Rentic’s liability is restricted to the generally occurring predictable damages for any culpable violations of basic contractual commitments by us, our legal representatives, directors, or other vicarious agents. Essential contractual responsibilities are those Rentic obligations in whose right performance you regularly trust and must trust for the contract’s proper execution. Rentic’s additional obligation is ruled out.
- Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, defend (at Rentic’s option), indemnify, and hold Rentic (including Rentic Payments, other affiliates, and their personnel) harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: I your breach of these Terms (including any supplemental or additional terms that may be applicable); (ii) your breach The indemnity requirement only applies if and to the extent that your culpable breach of a contractual commitment causes the claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses.
- Contracting Entities
Schedule 1 below lists the Rentic entity with whom you are contracting based on your nation of residence or establishment and what you are doing on the Rentic Platform. If we identify a Rentic entity other than the one listed on Schedule 1 as being responsible for a product, feature, or transaction through the Rentic Platform, that Rentic entity will be your contracting entity for that product, feature, or transaction.
- Jurisdiction and applicable law
These Terms are governed by Irish law and will be construed in line with it. If you are a consumer and your country of residence’s necessary statutory consumer protection legislation contain provisions that are more favorable to you, those provisions will apply regardless of whether you choose Irish law. As a consumer, you have the right to file any legal action related to these Terms in the competent court of your residence or the competent court of Rentic’s place of business in Ireland. If Rentic wants to pursue any of its rights against you as a consumer, we can only do so in the courts of the jurisdiction where you live. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts if you are working as a business.
- These Terms are being interpreted.
Unless supplemented by additional terms, conditions, policies, guidelines, standards, or in-product disclosures, these Terms are the entire agreement between Rentic and you regarding your access to or use of the Rentic Platform, and supersede any and all prior oral or written understandings or agreements between Rentic and you. These Terms do not confer any rights or remedies on anybody other than you and Rentic, and are not intended to do so. Except as provided in Section 24.11 below, if any term of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be struck and the legality and enforceability of the remaining sections will not be affected.
21.1 There is no waiver.
Rentic’s omission to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be construed as a waiver of that right or provision unless it is recognized and agreed to in writing by us. The exercise by any party of any of its remedies under these Terms, except as specifically set forth in these Terms, will be without prejudice to its other remedies under these Terms or otherwise permitted by law.
Assignment number 21.2. Without Rentic’s prior written authorization, you may not assign, transfer, or delegate this agreement or your rights and duties herein. Rentic may assign, transfer, or delegate this agreement and any rights and duties therein without restriction, with 30 days’ notice, at its sole discretion. Your right to terminate this agreement at any time, as described in Section 13.2, is unaffected.
21.3 Notification
Any notices or other communications to Members permitted or required under this agreement will be provided electronically and given by Rentic via email, Rentic Platform notification, messaging service (including SMS and WeChat), or any other contact method we enable you to provide, unless otherwise specified. If a notice relates to a booking or Listing in Japan, you agree and recognize that Rentic’s duties under Article 59 (1) of the Japanese Housing Accommodation Business Act are satisfied by sending such notifications via electronic means rather than a paper declaration.
21.4 Services Provided by Third Parties
The Rentic Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, services, or resources (“Third-Party Services”), each of which has its own set of terms and privacy policies. Rentic is not responsible or liable for any part of these Third-Party Services, and links to them are not an endorsement.
21.5. Google terms.
Google is used to power some translations on the Rentic Platform. Google disclaims all guarantees, express or implied, with respect to the translations, including any warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a specific purpose, and non-infringement. Google Maps/Earth mapping services are used in some aspects of the Rentic Platform, including the Google Maps API (s). The Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service apply to your usage of Google Maps/Earth.
21.6. Apple Terms
If you use the Apple Program Store to access or download our app, you agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
21.7. Rentic Platform Content
Copyright, trademark, and/or other laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other countries may apply to content made available through the Rentic Platform. You understand that Rentic and/or its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Content, and you undertake not to remove, modify, or obscure any copyright, trademark, service mark, or other proprietary rights notices. Except to the extent that you are the legal owner of that Content or as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not use, copy, adapt, modify, prepare derivative works of, distribute, license, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, broadcast, or otherwise exploit any Content accessed through the Rentic Platform. Rentic grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, revocable, and non-transferable license to I download and use the Application on your personal device(s); and (ii) access and view the Content made available on or through the Rentic Platform and accessible to you, solely for your personal and non-commercial use, subject to your compliance with these Terms.
21.8. Force Majeure.
Acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authority, fire, floods, accidents, epidemics or disease, strikes or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials are all examples of causes beyond Rentic’s reasonable control.
21.9 Emails, WhatsApp and Text messages
Using the email address or other contact information you give for your Rentic account, we will send you administrative emails. The frequency of these administrative emails will not be affected if you enroll in additional email subscription programs, though you should anticipate to receive additional emails pertaining to the program(s) to which you have subscribed. We may send you promotional emails as well. These promotional emails are free of charge, but third-party data fees may apply. The notification selections in your account settings allow you to choose whether or not you want to receive promotional communications. Please note that if you disable certain communication settings or do not have a Rentic Account, you will be unable to participate in some campaigns. If you consent to receive SMS (text messages) from us in the United States, you will be bound by our SMS Terms.
