Attend the Eebi festival
Epe is a vibrant town with an exciting, rich history. One of the most popular festivals in Epe is the Eebi Festival, which celebrates the town’s war victories in the nineteenth century. The celebration includes parades, concerts, and a masquerade that comes out from Oju Alaro in Marina Epe. The festival is so popular that locals often come from all over to attend.
The festival also offers great fun opportunities for all who attend. You can explore the city by horseback or bike, or watch as dancers perform traditional dances for you.
The festival is celebrated yearly and usually spans three months, starting from January to march. Oftentimes, it is extended to the fourth month.
Take a stroll in the fish market
If you love fresh fish, you’ll want to check out two major markets in Epe: Oluwo Market and Ayetoro Market.
Oluwo Market is located around the ‘Chief’ area of Epe, and it’s a great place to buy fish for your next meal. They have a good selection of different types of fish available at any given time, and they offer discounts on your purchases so you can get more bang for your buck.
Ayetoro Market is also an option if you’re looking for fresh fish. It’s located at the beginning of Lagos Road in Epe, so it’s easy enough to find!

Visit the first central mosque in Epe
The first central mosque in Epe also known as Ancient mosque of Epe hakeem olaide is one of the historical landmarks in Epe. If you love a good history, here is a good place to start. It was built in 1862 and it is filled with so much history of the Islamic and Yoruba people of Epe.
